Product Summary
The IL300 linear optocoupler consists of an AlGaAs IRLEDirradiating an isolated feedback and an output PINphotodiode in a bifurcated arrangement. The feedbackphotodiode captures a percentage of the LEDs flux andgenerates a control signal (I) that can be used to servo theP1LED drive current. This technique compensates for theLED’s non-linear, time, and temperature characteristics.The output PIN photodiode produces an output signal (Ithat is linearly related to the servo optical flux created by theLED.The time and temperature stability of the input-outputcoupler gain (K3) is insured by using matched PINphotodiodes that accurately track the output flux of the LED.
